Baptism is an invitation to respond to GodŐs act of salvation won for us in and through Jesus Christ. In baptism God calls us by name and makes us members of the Church, that body who acknowledge Jesus as Lord. As members of the visible Body of Christ on earth we are called to live a Christ-like life of discipleship and ministry.
Only those adults and parents of children who are prepared to take this call seriously should contemplate baptism for themselves or their children. The clergy are very willing to discuss matters of faith with enquirers and prepare them for the sacraments of Baptism and if appropriate, Confirmation.
